Needle felted using white felt as a background starter, wool batting behind that. I first start by drawing my design, then start applying different layers of wool and tacking them down as I go along. The background is done by machine, and the foreground and detail are all punched in by hand. For stability, it is then re enforced with industrial felt. Made with alpaca wool, merino silk wool and assorted wool roving. Finished off with a shadow box. It needs to be kept out of direct sunlight. To clean one can either use canned air, feather duster or blow dryer on low.
